Hi, I’m Kristina Golden, certified death doula and educator serving communities in and around the St. Louis, MO area. While I was born and raised in St. Louis, I spent five years living and traveling overseas which provided me with many unique perspectives and experiences that have all contributed to my doula journey.
Acquired on my journey are five doula certifications (End of Life Doula Certification, Grief Doula Certification, MAiD Doula Certification, Certified Life Planning Specialist Certification, Pet Doula Certification), five years of practice in the field, a depth of death-related knowledge, two cats, and a wonderfully supportive family.
I use every part of what I have learned in the last decade and a half to inform and connect with others. My goal is not just death acceptance or end of life care, but also support and community. Within my own communities like the International Doula Life Movement, the Midwest End-of-Life Doula Collective, and LGBTQIA2S+ community, support is shared with any and all. Volunteering at Bellefontaine Cemetery and Arboretum, Last Call: An End of Life Festival, and the Order of the Good Death, are just some of the ways in which I contribute to continuing the cycle of support in order to create a community space where understanding and kindness replace currency.
What I offer as a doula goes beyond just my specialties of Death Positive Education, LGBTQIA2S+, Pet Loss, and Estranged Grief and endeavors to be practical, compassionate and healing. When I am not trying to be the change I want to see in the world, I am reading, on an adventure, or trying to pet a dog (and hopefully succeeding). Thanks for reading, it was wonderful having you.
